Eligibility

Regular, part-time and full-time colleagues who work 20 hours or more per week are eligible for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s benefits and programs outlined in this guide.

Fixed-term colleagues are eligible for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s benefits and programs outlined in this guide, except for the Canada Savings Plan and Long-Term Disability coverage.

You may elect coverage for:

• A spouse to whom you are legally married
• A common-law partner; one year cohabitation requirement
• Children under age 21 for whom you or your spouse has legal guardianship
• Children under age 27 who are attending a post-secondary school as a full-time student
• Children who have reached age 21, have no spouse, and suffer from a “functional impairment,” which must have existed when the status of the person fit the first two definitions of an eligible child
